About Bundaberg Baptist Church.
Bundaberg Baptist church was formed in 1945 to provide a Baptist witness to the community. Since then, as the church has continued to grow, we have met in various locations until moving to our present site in 1993. We have various ministries catering for all age groups including children, youth, seniors and family support.
Bundaberg Baptist Church is an active member of Queensland Baptists.

Our Mission
Bundaberg Baptist Church is a family seeking to connect people with God and with each other.
Meet our team.
Faith is personal. Meet the people who lead our church and find out a little about who they are.
Our pastors.

Richard Cathie
Senior Pastor
An emergency doctor turned pastor, Richard has been part of the Bundaberg Baptist family for nine years. He is passionate about empowering people to discover their gifts and take steps towards faith, freedom and flourishing. When he is not leading or serving, you will find him running, reading or watching (most) sports.

Scotty Daniels
Associate Pastor
Scott joined the Bundaberg Baptist family in 2023, though his calling to ministry began at just 15 on a youth camp. He loves connecting with people and sharing faith in a way that is real and accessible. When he is not at church, you will find him 4WDing, renovating or tinkering with anything with an engine.

What we believe.
At Bundaberg Baptist we believe in the importance of knowing with some clarity what we hold as truth and share this with you through our Statement of Faith below.
Our Statement of Faith.
We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the Divinely Inspired, Inerrant Word of God.
We believe that there is one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit – All knowing. All powerful. Everywhere present at one time.
We believe that mankind is sinful and cannot know or please God except through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived, died and rose again according to the Scriptures and has ascended to heaven as Ruler of the Universe. He is the Head of the Church and will return soon at the Father’s appointed time.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is present on earth to reveal to people their need of the Saviour; to regenerate them at conversion; to transform and renew the life of each believer and the life and ministry of the Church.
We believe that Satan is real and responsible for the evil in this world. He is the enemy of God and of the Children of God but has been defeated through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and will soon be destroyed along with his angels.
We believe that THE CHURCH is loved by God and is the gathering of His people through whom the Spirit works to bring the Good News of salvation, healing, hope, justice and compassion to the world.
We believe that there must be repentance toward God and the confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to personally experience salvation.
We believe that baptism by immersion in water of those who have repented of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ, in response to His example and command, is a symbol of sharing in His death, burial and resurrection.
We believe that the communion of the Lord’s Supper, celebrated in response to the example and command of the Lord Jesus Christ, is a memorial, of the sacrifice of the body and blood of Jesus Christ, till He comes.
